La Luz R&R

Maitz arrived from Singapore in the wee hours of the morning last Saturday. After a brief rest, we all headed off to La Luz in San Juan, Batangas for some R&R. I've heard a lot about this place, so I was really excited. It was a fun drive going to La Luz. We always have fun during roadtrips dahil sa kulitan. So, the 2 1/2 hours (traffic) passed by quickly and we soon found ourselves taking in the crisp, clean air of La Luz.

First, we had lunch and then settled in one of the large cabanas by the beach while we waited for our room. And of course, we took the opportunity to take some pics.

After we settled in our room, Maitz, Tere, Bea, Gabby and I got ready to do some snorkeling and swimming in the beach. We went snorkeling in pairs, we're all pretty strong swimmers, but pretty clumsy along corals, hehehe, so a buddy was a good idea in case one of us accidentally hits a coral (ahem Tere, that's you!).

When we've had our fill of swimming, we all had a nice massage in the cabana while watching the sun set, except for Gabby of course. Then dinner was served in the main pavilion and the setup was so nice with all the candles and lights which were in stark contrast with the dark beach.

After dinner, my sisters and I stayed in the cabana and played Uno cards while drinking Tequila Rose and eating Tostitos with dip. Actually, Tere and Maitz drank most of the Tequila, I was being a good girl and drank mostly Sprite with Bea. :) We went back up to the room by 11.

The next day, we had breakfast by the beach. And being the camwhores that we all were, took the opportunity to take more pictures. Even Gabby already knows how to pose, hehehe.

Before we knew it, we were already leaving La Luz... it was a very short break, but I think we made the most of it. I really loved it, the place is clean, the people were accommodating, and although the beach is almost gravel-like, I still enjoyed swimming in the water.

From La Luz we went to Kusina ni Salud in San Pablo, Laguna. We love the seafood kare-kare in this place, and also their ginataan. Unfortunately, during Sundays, they only have a buffet service and we couldn't order our favorites. But we did thoroughly enjoy the laing, hehehe. And that ends my weekend R&R. Next Sunday, we'll be going to Dagupan to celebrate Christmas with my dad's family. It'll be a 1 day trip...tiring, but I don't mind, I already know it's going to be another fun road trip. :)

Red Box Mayhem

Delayed post... but nonetheless...

Tuesday night is Ladies night at Red Box, so last Tuesday, my office pals and I decided to let loose and sing our hearts out in my favorite KTV joint. Together with Cindy, Jo, Aimee, Treenah, Mitch, Dianne and her bf, we trudged up to Red Box for a well deserved break from our stressful work lives (hehehe).

It was a fun, no-holds barred free for all. We sang songs from different genres and times, oldies, new hits, rock, pop, R&B, English, OPM, you name it, we did it. We even sang Halik by Aegis, Low (oh yeah, we rapped) and danced to Treenah's rendition of It's Raining Men and even had fun with Katy Perry's hit I Kissed a Girl. We took videos, but I think we'd rather keep those to ourselves, hahaha.

But anyway, some pics. :) Sa uulitin!
