Busy Weekend

2 days have already gone on this 3-day weekend...and it's been a pretty busy one for me. :) On Saturday, I had my regular blood check (to monitor my TSH), had breakfast at Starbucks (got my planner yay!), had my contacts cleaned at Makati Med, then in the afternoon, I watched Hairspray with mom. Then, we went to mass.

Hairspray, as a whole was a fun play to watch. But I do have a lot of caveats. First of all, I didn't like the theater, it was too cold, and smelled dusty, I don't know if you know what I mean, but I get allergic from too much dust, and I was feeling allergic by the end of the show, so I'm assuming the theater was the cause. Then, it started a few minutes late and not only that, even after the theater doors closed, people kept coming in! I mean, come on! I would never expect this kind of thing to happen at the CCP. And last, the lights...I just didn't like the lights, there was one time we had this beam shining straight at us!

Oh well... but all these caveats didn't matter. The cast was great! I loved them! Nyoy Volante was an unexpected surprise... he danced so well and played Seaweed perfectly. Penny (I don't know her name) was a laugh trip, Michael de Mesa was great as Tracy's mom, Dulce was awesome as always (although some of her lines made her appear kinda 'high'). And Madel Ching (playing Tracy) was sooo energetic! I loved her. I'm sure with a few more years in theater, she's going to be absolutely awesome.

And then today, we went to Glorietta and watched Twilight! Of course I have already set my expectations (to a very low level) and I was really pleased with the film. :P And I actually think the next books (New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn) will be better on film. So, I'm excited about that.

Tomorrow, Tere and I will go back to the mall for some facials and shopping, then we'll have dinner at Mandarin Hotel to celebrate my parents' 29th anniversary. :)

Whew... it's been a hectic 3 day weekend, I feel like I didn't even get a chance to rest at all! But I guess that's what the holidays are about right? Everyone gets busy. :)
